Final Stats

Incarnate Word swept Texas A&M International University 3-0 for the Heartland Conference Tournament Championship Saturday night on the campus of St. Mary's University at Greehay Arena in San Antonio, Texas. The Cardinals wrapped the series against the Dustdevils with the 30-22, 30-26, 30-20 win.

Heartland Conference Player of the Year, and Tournament MVP, Kim Kvapil led the Cardinals with 16 kills and 12 digs. Also, Freshman of the Year Sarah Nordman led the Cardinals with 38 assist and 8 kills. All-Tournament Team selections Kortni Richter adding 10 kills and Hannah Wercham with 12 digs for UIW

All-Heartland First Team Nicole Gipson was awarded to the All-Tournament Team contributing 7kills and 2 blocks for the Dustdevils. Brittany Smith was selected to the All-Tournament Team contributed 9 kills for the Dustdevils.

In a solid effort, All-Heartland Second Team Ladys Montano led the Dustdevils with 10 kills. All-Heartland Honorable Mention Madison Mojica led TAMIU with 11 digs.
