Amanda DeGeus had 8 put outs in game one and 9 in game two

The Dustdevils took the led 1-0 when Samantha Garcia reached on an error by the pitcher. Garcia's play allowed the speed of on base runners Gretel Trejo and Amanda DeGeus to advance. DeGeus scored the winning running from third base for the Dustdevils in the bottom of the third inning.

Victoria Beltran (6-5) recorded the win for the Dustdevils. She pitched 7.0 innings allowing no hits, no runs with five strikeouts.

TAMIU took a 4-0 led over OPSU through the fifth inning of game two. The Dustdevils had 11 hits scoring four runs. The Aggies would then answer back with two late runs in the top of the sixth inning. The defensive play, for the Dustdevils by Amanda DeGeus at first base, held off the Aggies in the top of the seventh inning.

Courtney Smith was the winning pitcher for the Dustdevils in game two. She pitched 7.0 innings allowing five hits and two earned runs.

TAMIU will play Texas A&M-Kingsville in a doubleheader Tuesday March 18th at 3:00 p.m. at Gateway Softball Field in Laredo, TX.
