St. Mary's Edges TAMIU In Overtime

St. Mary's defeated Texas &AM International University 4-3 in overtime in Heartland Conference action on Sunday afternoon in San Antonio. Carolina Hernández scored the game-winner for the Rattlers in the 101st minute.

Junior Dalia Hernández scored two goals and Cassie Delgado contributed one goal for the Dustdevils in regulation. It was the third career two-goal game for Hernández, who ranks fourth on the TAMIU all-time list with 13 goals. She needs four goals to move into second place on that list.

TAMIU goalkeeper Mary Jo Hall turned in another solid outing with nine saves. She has now made a season-high nine saves in four games this season.

TAMIU (2-10-1, 1-5-1) returns to the pitch next Friday with a conference game at Newman. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Wichita, Kan.
