TAMIU defeated LU by three points in overtime on Feb. 2 in Laredo. TAMIU (7-14, 3-6 Heartland) fought back from a 30-20 halftime deficit to post a 61-53 lead at the 5:46 mark of the second half. The Dustdevils would make only two of nine field goal attempts the rest of the way, allowing Lincoln (4-15, 4-5) to finish the game with an 18-7 run. Nicole Gipson led the Dustdevils with 13 points. Mary Tobias contributed 12 points and Jasmine June, Krystal Benson-Cooper and Chevelle Hoyle added 11 points apiece. Benson-Cooper added a team-high eight rebounds and four steals.
