Texas A&M International University junior Adeyemi Gill has been named Heartland Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for games played Oct. 29-Nov. 4.

Gill scored two goals in two games, helping lift the Dustdevils to a perfect 2-0 record in the season's final week of play. He scored TAMIU's opening goal in last Friday's 4-1 win over St. Mary's before scoring the game's only goal in Sunday's 1-0 win over conference frontrunner Incarnate Word.

The game-winner against UIW was the result of a crafty pass and run by the Dustdevils. After receiving a long pass from Soamy Bautista, Gill glided past a lone Cardinal defender before putting the ball in the net from 12 yards out.
