Six teams and 34 golfers participated in the inaugural Jack Brown Memorial Tournament on Monday and Tuesday at the Laredo Country Club. With great weather and a great venue the event has the promise to develop into one of the premier early season events in college golf.

UT-Pan American took first place honors in the team standings (300-278-298=876) and Blake Worden of Texas A&M Commerce(71-70-69=210) took top honors in the individual standings. Commerce finished second in the team standings, followed by St. Mary's University.

Andres Maymi was TAMIU's top finisher, placing tied for 19th with a three round total of 232 (82-75-75).
